The Yarn Monkey is a brand of casual wear, accessory, and house & home patterns designed for people who knit and crochet. When people think of knitwear, they usually have plush sub-zero sweaters in mind. The Yarn Monkey also designs casual wear with cool cotton and linen for warmer weather. All designs are created by founder and creator, Antonio Limuaco. His work has been published in Vogue Knitting, Knit.1 magazine, and other publications. Patterns are previewed and released on The Yarn Monkey Store after designs are developed and test knitted, not necessarily by season — if it’s summer in New York, it’s winter somewhere else in the world.
The Yarn Monkey Chronicles is a blog that seeks to inspire people to get in touch with their inner crafty primate. New projects are always in development — this blog chronicles new patterns that will be sold on the website, featured designers, social commentary... and seasonal recipes.
Antonio Limuaco is the founder of Knit PH, a Brooklyn-based social media group that is dedicated to the craft of knitting and crochet in the neighborhood of Prospect Heights. He is also a food writer and regular contributor to GardenFork.tv. He is a graduate of the Otis College of Art and Design, and a long-time creative professional in the fields of publication & textbook design, online digital media, packaging and product development, branding and identity systems designs. He now explores creating new wearable designs for the crafty luddite in everyone.
