Announcement: WWKIP Day, June 14, 2008

WWKIP
stands for World Wide Knit In Public day (and not "Woolly War with Korean Itinerary Protocol") This annual event is designed to encourage Public Display of Knitting (PDK) and all manner of Knitting in Public (KIP). On Saturday, June 14, Brooklynites are invited to participate in this world-wide event. For some it's a great opportunity to get out there and risk being asked what you are doing with all that yarn! For others it's a great excuse to smoke and knit at the same time, the quitting-thing didn't pan out. Bring your knitting project, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, camera, bottled water, a snack, and some cush for your tush. Please have a back-up plan in the event of rain. For more information, go to the official WWKIP website:
http://www.wwkipday.com/

When? Saturday, June 14, 2008, groups meet at 1:00 PM
Where? Brooklynlites will meet at Brooklyn Museum of Art
(FRONT STEPS!)

Tony, my darling boy! how are you? I was just emailing with a gal in our struggling knitting group trying to think of ways to keep it from dying and thought of you starting a group in a local bar. So I decided to google you and was happy to find your blog at the top of the list. I am your first subscriber :) We have to link up on ravelry too. I am painted threads. So much to catch up on, I hope all is well with you. xoxo judy

Judy Co-at-es Perez! Surprise, surpise. I just e-mailed you. How are Juan and kids? I'm not going to the Otis reunion, but I'm considering sending an actor who's in much better shape to play me.
